Standing With Israel (publ. 2024-01-01)

On this gemlog, I do not discuss much politics or breaking news and current events. It is not that I do not have any perspective on these matters, but just that it is not the focus of this gemlog, and that I would find myself often repeating things that others have said better. But I feel compelled to add my voice in support of Israel during this time of war and opposition, since Israel has so few friends and so many enemies.

For those who have bought into the false narrative regarding Israel, the Palestinians, and the war, I would like to promote this video by Dr. Randall Price:

It seems to me that even some Christians that support Israel are buying into the narrative that (1) Israel should stop the war as soon as possible in order to restore peace, (2) Israel's war in Gaza is vindictive and out-of-proportion to the original harm done by Hamas, and (3) Israel is slaughtering an enormous mass of innocent civilians in order to get at a few Hamas terrorists. This is the reality:

(1) Israel is fighting for its survival, and that can only be achieved by eliminating the threat from Hamas, i.e., eliminating Hamas and all their capabilities to attack Israel. If they stop short of that, Hamas will simple regroup and attack again with renewed fervor.

(2) Hamas and the Palestinians are essentially the same thing. The Palestinians are trained from infancy to hate Jews and to believe that dying in the act of murdering Jews is the height of glory and achievement. The Palestinians voted in Hamas and for the most part support and encourage their acts of terror and violence.

(3) Destroying Hamas soldiers while avoiding massive civilian casualties is nearly impossible, and that is entirely the fault of Hamas. Hamas purposely uses their own people as human shields, and they use civilian buildings and infrastructure as bases of operations and storage for munitions, or as cover for their tunnel infrastructure. Furthermore, Hamas desires civilian casualties because they know they make a good propaganda tool to garner support among Western nations.

(4) The hatred of Israel and the Jews, which right now is shockingly abundant even in the United States, is Satanic in origin. It is driven by the same deep-seated demonic hatred that had Jews stuffed into ovens during the Holocaust, and that inspired the many pogroms and persecution of Jews throughout the last millennium.
