Analog: Patch Panel (publ. 2025-04-02)

I was originally planning to put the banana jacks on the lid of the project box (cookie tin) but the lid is not quite large enough, and I was concerned that the weak tin might bend downward after all the holes and weight was added. So instead, I am using an old piece of aluminum bracket that was laying around unused. I was able to put in 48 holes in the bracket, while still having a generous amount of space for labeling. I only have 40 banana jacks, the kind which fit a hole of about 14 or 15 mm, so I need to order some more, or make some smaller jacks I have fit in these larger holes. I installed the 40 I do have.

I realized that there are quite a few jacks that would be needed if I was going to have a jack for every header available on the board, something like 60 jacks. But there are a lot of jacks that do not necessarily need to be made available on the front panel. E.g., the multipliers "sum" pin can just be hooked to ground; and on the integrators, one does not really need the 10x resistors. I'm thinking, rather than expanding the panel out to more jacks and more wiring, I'll just take a minimalist approach.
